“We don’t need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.”

I am doing my best to keep my floral art as eco friendly as possible. The Italian paper I am using is EFC certified and ordered in the most efficient way. I tend to order large quantities of paper to keep the amount of deliveries to the minimum, and I am making sure to use up as much of my stock as possible before reordering the new one.

I hardly ever use plastic based hot glue in my creations, I also avoid styrofoam and floral foam at all cost. Instead all is assembled with use of a non-toxic water soluble glue, paper scraps are repurposed and used instead of the styrofoam components and floral arrangements in vases are made with chicken wire balls or dry rice.

I also only use a biodegradable glitter if any.You will find my flowers wrapped in paper and packed in cardboard, recyclable boxes. Unfortunately, if they have to travel abroad, or we have rainy days in the UK, I am securing your boxes with foil to prevent any water damage. These are kept to minimum and I am always on a look out for more sustainable alternatives and use these when possible.

There is still a lot to do and learn, however I believe in one step at a time approach in improving ourselves and our lives.
